Abstract:

The bulk of the collection consists of correspondence, ephemera, manuscripts, and research materials related to Abajian's work on the history of, and bibliographies of source material for, African Americans in California and the West. This includes materials from the African American Historical & Cultural Society in San Francisco and the East Bay Negro Historical Society. There is also some personal correspondence, biographical material and personalia.
